Healthcare Facilities Systems On-Call Services
Insight Civil works for a large healthcare client who owns one of the largest and most comprehensive university hospital systems in the world, encompassing 35 buildings with over 10.6 million square feet of managed space. The hospital’s facilities operations department tracks maintenance of its equipment through an online Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The facilities systems group is responsible for maintaining this system.
Our team provides on-call assistance to the facilities systems group in matters of data quality assurance/quality control, major data updates/overhauls, troubleshooting, data report design consulting, and digital handheld integration. Projects have included updating asset categorizations to the “Uniformat” standardized system for classifying building components, providing feedback on the design and accuracy of regulatory compliance reports, quality control for data entered by contractors, training staff mechanics to collect data readings electronically on handheld devices, and updating aspects of the system for compatibility with these devices.
