Gondola Feasibility Study
Insight Civil was a sub-consultant to a larger project team responsible for performing a preliminary site assessment analysis for and developed a best practices technical memo as part of a Gondola Feasibility Study in NYC.
Engineers at Insight Civil reviewed existing documentation (i.e. as-built drawings, construction documents and site surveys) for potential gondola terminal locations at both ends of the system and evaluated and mapped subsurface infrastructure conditions affecting station siting.
Insight Civil also led the effort to perform best practices research and benchmarking, collect technical guidance and expertise from specialists on the project team, identify relevant case studies projects, and analyze feasibility of implementation of best practices through using actual projects or hypotheticals. Numerous best practices were identified through this analysis and informed further stages of concept design in the feasibility study, from both an infrastructural and financial perspective.
