Facilities Management Policy Development
Insight Civil is providing facilities and asset management consulting services to the corporate Facilities Operations and Compliance division at Bausch Health. Buildings and facilities consultants from Insight Civil are working closely with the Director of Facilities Operations and Compliance at Bausch Health to create a globally applicable facilities management corporate policy (FMP). The purpose of this policy is to assist the organization with identification and categorization of commercial facility assets and relevant information in order to successfully optimize safety, regulatory compliance, maintenance, utility life cycle, planning, sustainability, asset selection, acquisition/development, and ultimate disposal or renewal of the appropriate assets. This policy is part of a broader initiative to reconcile and streamline the corporate real estate holdings and facilities assets portfolio in an effort to reduce costs, maximize benefit of investments in real property or leased spaces, as well as implementation of a longer-term vision for capital planning expenditures.
The policy identifies key performance indicators (KPIs) that will allow the Facilities Operations and Compliance leadership team to track facilities maintenance operations and compliance activities across a set of standard performance metrics. Important sections of the policy include, but are not limited to: utilities management, life safety, emergency failure response, emergency response plan, and business continuity plan guidance. The Facilities Operations and Compliance team at Bausch Health will use the corporate FMP to improve effective management and oversight of over 250 Bausch Health Facilities worldwide. Staff from the Buildings + Facilities Consulting group at Insight Civil have successfully delivered Phase I of the FMP development and will be working with the Bausch Health Corporate Facilities Operations and Compliance team, as well as internal consultants Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL, to design and develop Phase II of the Facilities Management Policy (FMP).
